Conference season in Cape Town: Conferences taking place in 2013

June 17, 2013 · Print This Article

Minuteman Press Cape Town is the de facto go-to print shop for conferences and events in Cape Town. Be it name badges, signage, programmes, brochures, newsletters, invitations etc for the organisers; or presentations, abstract printing, posters, business cards etc for delegates. We deliver direct to the conference venue, but for delegates more typically we deliver the printed work to their hotel ahead of their arrival.

We understand deadlines, quick turn around and quality are inherent requirements for conference printing and signage. We ensure quality service.

We’ve had a busy year with conferences so far this year and while the Cape winter sets in we contemplate the expected action for the season ahead. We look at a couple of them in more detail:

Conferences taking place in Cape Town during the second half of 2013

In August there is Africa Geospatial Forum 2013 at the Cape Town International Conference (CTICC).  The forum will bring together the various stakeholders from the geospatial community across the world and Africa continent in particular.

Also in August is the African Ports Evolution Forum 2013 at the CTICC. It will address the readiness of African ports to meet operational and strategic challenges. High powered participation from over 300 high-level executives from 14 countries.

In November a large conference will make its presence felt in the city. There will be 2,000 Pediatric and Infectious Disease specialists at the 8th World Congress on Pediatric Infectious Diseases in Cape Town, South Africa, November 19-22, 2013 (WSPID). This is sure to be an event of note.

December is also a busy month with the 2013 International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA) taking place at the CTICC. Then, at UCT the Sixth International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies and Development also takes place in December.

All these, and other events and conferences, culminate in the annual convention that every year has the most impact on Cape Town City being the African Mining Indaba to be held in early February 2014. We love this event; there’s a lot of action and a great vibe. It’s been going for 20 years and attracts close to 8000 delegates from over 100 countries.
