Don’t believe that professional digital printing is expensive

One of the biggest mistakes growing companies make is deciding to buy an expensive printer when things start going well. The thinking behind this usually centres around the fact that, now that you are getting bigger, the amount of printing you’ll be doing – including printing things like pamphlets and brochures – will be significantly more so you might as well just invest this once so that you can save on future printing costs.

Then, of course, there are more obvious costs involved. Things like the need to have your printer regularly serviced because the less you look after it the more expensive it is to run. Oh yes, and don’t forget that you’ll be losing out on significant discounts for bulk purchases of paper and ink.

The last and least apparent cost to your bottom line is that, no matter how good of a commercial grade printer you buy, the quality of the printed image you produce will never be as good as those of industrial printers. What this means is that, if you go the route of printing your own pamphlets, brochures and other promotional material, they will never look as good as those printed by the professionals who have not only the equipment, but also the experience, to deliver the best quality possible.
